Studying the Solar System for kids is more than just a science lesson; it is an open window to understanding our place in the vastness of the universe. Children are naturally curious about the world around them and the starry sky above us is an endless source of mystery and fascination.
By introducing them to the basic concepts of the Solar System, we give them not only knowledge, but also insight into the majesty and complexity of the cosmos.
Learning about the Solar System encourages critical thinking, stimulates the imagination, and can ignite a long-term passion for the sciences. It is also a great way to connect school knowledge with real life, such as observing the moon and stars or tracing the paths of the planets in the sky.
In the "Space and Planets" activity, the children flew with the help of the rocket through space almost at the speed of light and were carried towards planets, satellites or asteroids, until they were close to the Sun or comets.
Through this activity, the children discovered what each planet looks like, admired the twinkling stars, discovered the Solar System with everything in it, made an experiment by painting with pipettes, built rockets from tangram pieces, arranged the planets in order increasing in size, they built their own Solar System and learned how it works and how day and night form.
